FAQ - Teachers

Everything you need to know about teaching with MusoHunt

How do I apply to become a teacher?

To apply to become a teacher for MusoHunt, you do not need an account - you just need to apply through our application form. We will be in contact with you within two business days to arrange for an interview, and if your application is successful, you will be required to send us your biographies. Once you get your first student, you will then be given access to our online portal to log lessons where you can see your students' contact info.

How much will I get paid?

How much you will be getting paid depends on how much you choose to charge per hour! Our tutors have complete freedom in setting their price, and your rates will be displayed on your profile online. We are aware that you are the one doing most of the hard work, hence unlike normal music schools, we will only be taking a small percentage of admin fees from you - 18% after GST is calculated, which will contribute to website maintenance, advertising cost, events hosting, payment gateway systems as well as others. And you get to keep the rest to yourself!

How does the portal work?

Our online portal makes administrative work easy, whether it is for you, for your clients or for us! You can log lessons, view your students' contact information, and manage your schedule all in one place.

What is the cancellation policy?

We impose a 24 hours cancellation policy, which means you will still be paid if the student decides not to come less than 24 hours from the scheduled lesson. This protects your time and ensures fair compensation for last-minute cancellations.

Can I get advice on teaching?

Teaching can be tough sometimes. Hence we always welcome teachers to email us for any issues/questions they face, and we will try our very best to help you.
